Industries for the Blind-Milwaukee, established in 1952 to provide employment opportunities for blind and visually impaired individuals, is an ISO 9001 certified company with more than 200 employees, more than three-quarters of whom are visually impaired.
From its 100,000 square foot manufacturing facility in West Allis, Wis., Industries for the Blind-Milwaukee produces and distributes promotional materials for a wide variety of agencies, including the U.S. Post Office, the U.S. Navy, Army and Air Force Recruiting Command, Coast Guard and the Department of Justice.
Industries for the Blind-Milwaukee also operates ten base supply stores known as IB Express Stores, providing office supplies and furniture to government agencies on military bases around the country.
Industries for the Blind-Milwaukee is a proud member of the National Association for the Employment of People Who Are Blind (NAEPB) and has received five consecutive awards as an Outstanding AbilityOne program distributor by the Committee for Purchase From People Who Are Blind or Severly Disabled, the independent federal agency that administers the AbilityOne program.
